Heading Successful Food Distribution Camp in Kailash Rural Municipality, Makwanpur District

Kailash Rural Municipality, Makwanpur District On June 19th, 2024, the Nepal Little Flower Society, with generous financial support from Ganesh Nepalhilfe and Shanti Med Nepal, organized a successful food distribution camp in the remote village of Ward No. 8. This initiative aimed to support 150 households, primarily from the Tamang and Chepang communities, who are among the most impoverished in the region. Each household received one sack of rice (30 kg) and 2 kg of Dal (lentils). Despite the challenging journey, requiring over four hours of travel from Hetauda city, the distribution was efficiently managed by dedicated volunteers from the Nepal Little Flower Society, including Fathers Bibin, Roby, Sijo, Tony, and Mr. Shinto. The event was conducted under the guidance and support of Ward President Mr. Ashish Praja. The financial backing from Ganesh Nepalhilfe and Shanti Med Nepal was crucial in making this effort possible. The food distribution camp significantly impacted the local community by providing essential food supplies to the needy Tamang and Chepang families. The successful execution of this camp highlights the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing food security issues in remote areas.
